The year began with replacing our major annual duck race with a car raffle.  With the able assistance of former DG and attorney, Bill Conklin, the approvals from the DOJ were received to keep us legal.  The winning ticket was pulled on the day of our annual rummage sale that benefited Family Connections.  Almost $50,000 was raised for the participating charities.  2002/03 was the year we began giving dictionaries to Project Read to honor our weekly speakers.  Our first park bench was dedicated at Red Morton Park to honor founding Club member, Dave Schutz.  The Club assisted in raising funds for Polio Plus by selling tickets to A Christmas Carol held at Notre Dame College in Belmont.
